Organic

The organic vineyards of Château Haut-Moulin, surrounded by a hilly landscape north of Blaye, consist of 98% merlot grapes. The well-drained soil, a selective harvest, cold maceration, short vinification and a long maturing period in underground barrels, give this wine a silky finesse.

Character wine

This character wine has an intense, ruby-red colour with subtle aromas and taste sensations of fresh red fruit. The aftertaste is sumptuous with nice length.

Gastronomy

Ideal with a dish based on duck, also delicious with a nice steak, a pork chop or with stews.
