Château Tourteau Montagne Saint Émilion 2015/2016
Manual harvest
André Benoist and his son Camille took over Château Tourteau in 1998. The changes are enormous, their knowledge and their passion for great wines are reviving the château. Nothing is left to chance, the vines are cared for professionally and the grapes are harvested manually. The parcels 2 km north of the village of Saint-Émilion face south. Each individual parcel is vinified in a classic, gentle and patient manner and this is fully reflected in this wine.
Subtle
It is lighter than the other Bordeaux wines, very subtle and that is why some journalists call it the "Burgundy of Bordeaux". This is a pure Merlot wine, without any wood aging, which gives a wine with a lot of charm. Fruity, smooth, with a lot of typicity; even in the smaller vintages this is an exceptional wine.
Gastronomy
It perfectly accompanies all white meat dishes, especially those served with mushrooms: white mushrooms, morels and chanterelles.
