Van Loveren, Special Late Harvest Gewürztraminer 2023

Van Loveren has been in the Retief family since 1937 when Hennie Retief acquired the vineyards in Robertson Valley and named it after Christina van Loveren,an ancestor of his young bride, Jean van Zyl.

A major milestone was reached in 1980 with the launch of the Van Loveren brand with 500 cases of wine. From this very beginning, Van Loveren has grown into the largest, leading family estate in South Africa. Their dream of making quality wines for every taste and occasion has hereby succeeded beautifully!

This delicious, semi-sweet dessert wine made from 100% Gewürztaminer grape possesses delicate expressions of rose petals and with particularly refreshing, full flavours of fresh exotic fruits (lychee, passion fruit, dried apricots and tangerines). The late-harvested grapes provide the sweet, brilliant character of this lively and bright wine. Price/quality a winner!
