Pyros Wines is the result of the vision and entrepreneurial spirit of Myndert Pon, founder of the bodega Salentein in the Pedernal valley, just above Mendoza. In 2008, Myndert Pon visited the valley for the first time and was inspired by its extreme beauty, wild nature and diverse wine soil. This inspiration to highlight the superior grapes that are grown in the Pedernal Valley led to the creation of Pyros Wines. The first collection of world-class wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Pedernal Valley: brilliant wines with a fine, fruity texture with mineral notes.
Best Malbec grapes
The best Malbec grapes were selected from plot No 8 of vineyards located in the Pedernal Valley, at 1400 m altitude, in a unique setting and aged for 12 months in French and American wooden barrels.
Elegant bouquet of black fruit
It possesses an intense, red colour with purple brilliance. On the nose, it smells floral aromas of black fruit with a delicate spiciness. On the palate, it is fresh and lively, with recurring black fruit, spice and mineral expression. An elegant wine with a pleasant structure with soft tannins. The finish is long and persistent.
Gastronomy
Delicious with an Argentine steak and with red meat dishes with sauces.
