Vacqueyras 'La Pourpre', Ogier 2021/'22
Famous wine house
Since 1859, the house of Ogier shines within the appellation Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the Rhone valley. Exceptional plots of land offer the opportunity to make great wines. Producer Ogier's mission allows him to offer a wide range of products, especially wines from the southern Rhone valley. Antoine Ogier, founder of this famous wine house, chose ripe grapes for vinification and aging in oak barrels.
Sublime & spicy
This vineyard, located at the foot of Dentelles de Montmirail, consists mainly of grenache (80%), syrah (15%) and mourvèdre (5%). The grapes are handpicked and after fermentation aged in wooden barrels for 6 to 12 months. This results in a sublime wine, with aromas of dark cherries and blackberries. The long finish is refined, fruity and with the necessary spiciness, as a quality Vacqueyras should be!
Gastronomy
Delicious with a leg of lamb.
