Zenato Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2017
36 months of barrel aging
This wine, the jewel of Zenato's production, is made from a selection of top Valpolicella Classica grapes grown in the municipality of Sant'Ambrogio (Corvina, Rondinella, Oseleta, and Croatina). The grapes are dried for 4 months and only in January are they crushed. Then follows a slow fermentation with contact with the skin and the wine matures for 36 months in large Slovenian barrels and then further maturation in bottle.
Majestic wine
A majestic wine that shows amazing depth and concentration with particularly rich aromas of fruit (cherries), coffee, cocoa and spices. There is red and black fruit present in both aroma and taste, making this wine one of the better Amarones. The finish is lush, persistent with refined tannins. TOP!
Gastronomy
Goes perfectly with roasted, grilled meat, game dishes and mature cheeses.
